+KDE-5_18.07 is meant to be installed on top of Slackware -current.
It will *replace* any version of KDE 4 you might have installed!
The Plasma 5 Desktop has gotten rid of its Qt4 legacy. Since the release of
Applications 17.12 there's nothing left which is based on kdelibs4.
What is the NEWS in this batch of updates:
-- In the 'deps' section, I updated 'qt5' to 5.9.6. I have also added 'OpenAL'
- as an additional dependency for the 'qt5' package (besides 'libxkbcommon').
+- In the 'deps' section, I updated 'poppler' to 0.67.0 to get back in sync
+ with the Slackware version. Compared to KDE-5_18.06, the 'qt5' package
+ has been updated to 5.11.1 (the KDE-5_18.06_testing already contained
+ this version of Qt5).
- Frameworks update is a stability release, see:
-- Plasma has not been updated this month. The new major release 5.13.0 depends
- on Qt 5.10 or higher and I am not prepared yet to switch from Long Term
- Support (LTS) releases of Qt5 and Plasma to a short-lived branch.
- The newer Qt 5.11 and Plasma 5.13 have been added to my 'testing' repository.
-- In plasma-extra I updated the 'kdeconnect-framework' package.
-- Applications 18.04.2 is a stability and bugfix release.
- See https://www.kde.org/announcements/announce-applications-18.04.2.php .
-- In applications-extra I have upgraded 'okteta' 'krita' and 'kstars'.
+- Plasma 5.13.3 is the third increment in the Plasma Desktop 5.13 development
+ cycle. See https://www.kde.org/announcements/plasma-5.13.3.php
+ If you are upgrading from KDE-5_18.06 you may want to read about all the
+ new features in Plasma 5.13 here:
+- Applications 18.04.3 is a stability and bugfix release.
+ See https://www.kde.org/announcements/announce-applications-18.04.3.php .
+- In applications-extra I have upgraded 'okteta' and 'krita' and rebuilt
+ 'calligra' and 'kile' against the newer poppler.
